DAY 1:  TUESDAY, JULY 9 – NB & NS TO FERRY (NORTH SYDNEY NS)
Welcome aboard our 13-day adventure to Newfoundland and France (St. Pierre & Miquelon)! We're set to explore stunning landscapes, encounter wildlife, and immerse ourselves in rich culture. We will stop for breaks and supper along the way. Tonight, we'll board the ferry in North Sydney at approx. 11:15 pm. Before boarding, our Tour Director will provide essential information, and you'll have a comfortable overnight stay in ferry cabins. Let the excitement begin!



DAY 2:  WEDNESDAY, JULY 10 – PORT-AUX-BASQUES NL TO COW HEAD (2 NIGHTS)
Breakfast on Ferry (on your own)
7:15 am – Disembark Ferry (or when the announcement is made)
Our amazing Newfoundland adventure begins this morning with breakfast on your own before diving into the heart of nature as we set out for Cow Head.

We'll pause for a delightful lunch, savouring the local flavours that beautifully blend the land and the sea. After lunch (and a short drive), it’s time to embrace the true essence of the Bay of Islands with a captivating two (2) hour boat tour. Brace yourself for an awe-inspiring journey amidst waters, enchanting scenery, and hidden treasures that make this part of Newfoundland truly magical. As we sail along, our knowledgeable guides will regale us with captivating tales of the area's geological wonders, its rich cultural heritage, and the fascinating diversity that thrives in these waters. Keep your cameras ready because this incredible setting offers countless opportunities to photograph extraordinary wildlife, including majestic bald eagles, graceful moose, magnificent whales, and a colourful array of seabirds.

In the late afternoon, we'll settle into our welcoming hotel for the night. The hotel treats us to a host of fantastic amenities, including an outdoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, and exercise room. But that's not all! Just a short walk from our accommodation lies a beautiful white sandy beach, which has been proudly recognized as one of the Top 10 beaches in all of Canada.

This evening for dinner, we will enjoy a great meal at a wonderful local restaurant.


DAY 3: THURSDAY, JULY 11 – COW HEAD – GROS MORNE – LOCAL TOURING
After a restful night and a delightful breakfast, we're gearing up for another day of discovery and natural wonders in Newfoundland! Our journey begins with a scenic drive through Newfoundland's mesmerizing landscapes, where every turn offers a breathtaking view of the rugged coastline and rolling hills.  Keep your cameras handy because you won't want to miss capturing these picture-perfect moments!

Our first stop is at the iconic Lobster Cove Lighthouse, a charming beacon perched on the edge of the Atlantic. Let the refreshing sea breeze envelop you as you take in the awe-inspiring vistas of the boundless ocean and the dramatic cliffs that define this coastal wonderland.
Next up, we venture to the awe-inspiring Gros Morne National Park, where the renowned Discovery Centre awaits us. Step into a world of geological marvels, cultural heritage, and vibrant flora and fauna that make this UNESCO World Heritage Site truly exceptional. Let your curiosity guide you as you learn about the fascinating stories hidden within these ancient rocks.

After a well-deserved lunch break get ready to be fascinated at the Newfoundland Insectarium, a world-class nature museum just outside Deer Lake. This remarkable venue showcases thousands of live and mounted insects, arachnids, and arthropods from all corners of the globe. From the tiniest critters to the most majestic beetles, this immersive experience promises to leave you in awe of Mother Nature’s incredible diversity. The Newfoundland Insectarium has been captivating visitors since 1998 and has garnered accolades from over 500,000 guests. Its converted barn setting, encompassing 20 acres of natural beauty, is a testament to the wonders that await us within.

As the afternoon gently glides by, we'll return to our welcoming hotel, where you'll have some free time to unwind or explore the local surroundings. This evening, savour a delightful dinner (on your own) at the hotel restaurant or pub onsite, immersing yourself in the warm hospitality and culinary delights that Newfoundland is known for.

DAY 4: FRIDAY, JULY 12 – COW HEAD TO GANDER (2 NIGHTS)
After a delightful breakfast, we set off on an exciting journey to Gander, a town with a rich history and a heartwarming story. As the "Crossroads of the World" and the inspiration for the Tony award-winning Broadway play, Come From Away, Gander promises a captivating experience!

Upon arriving in Gander, you'll check into our comfortable hotel, where you can unwind and relax. Don't worry about dinner – there are plenty of food options near the hotel, including a delightful restaurant right on-site!

DAY 5: SATURDAY, JULY 13 – GANDER (TWILLINGATE)
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as we set sail through the breathtaking Iceberg Alley in Twillingate! Immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of tickles, runs, and inlets, surrounded by 12,000-year-old icebergs (fingers crossed) and the graceful dance of humpback whales (fingers crossed).

Our partner, Iceberg Quest Ocean Boat Tours, offers an award-winning boat tour that will leave you in awe of nature's wonders. The friendly crew will introduce us to the genuine charisma and hospitality of outport Newfoundland. As we sail through the vibrant community of Twillingate, be prepared to be captivated by Newfoundland's rich natural and cultural history.

During the two-hour boat tour, you'll enjoy unobstructed views from open decks, relax in the heated cabin, and have access to washroom facilities. Treat yourself to the bar service and light snacks available for purchase, all while being serenaded by traditional Newfoundland music.

After the tour, we'll indulge in a delightful lunch and wine tasting at a local winery (included). Take a piece of Newfoundland home with you from their charming gift shop.

In the afternoon, we'll visit the Long Point Lighthouse Centre, offering fantastic opportunities for scenic pictures and another delightful gift shop.

As the day comes to a close, we'll return to our comfortable hotel in Gander for a relaxing evening. Feel free to unwind and have dinner on your own, either at the hotel restaurant or at nearby dining spots.

DAY 6: SUNDAY, JULY 14 – GANDER TO ST JOHN’S (2 NIGHTS)
After a hearty breakfast, get ready for an unforgettable adventure as we head to St. John's, Newfoundland's vibrant capital city!

But before we reach our destination, brace yourself for one last amazing boat tour with O'Brien's Whale & Puffins. Prepare to be amazed by the incredible marine life as we sail through the sparkling waters. Keep your fingers crossed for captivating sightings of majestic whales and adorable puffins (no guarantees, but nature's surprises are always a possibility!). During the tour, you'll have the chance to visit the onboard gift shop where you can grab some delicious snacks (additional cost) to satisfy any cravings while enjoying the scenic views.

After this thrilling experience, we will stop for lunch and then we will head to St. John's, where we will be staying for the next two (2) nights. Once we have checked-in to the hotel, you will have the evening to explore the enchanting city and have dinner on your own. St. John's is one of Canada's oldest cities, boasting a fascinating mix of history and contemporary charm. Discover its unique culture, stroll along colourful streets, and relish the delightful dining options that await you.

For those who wish to indulge in some shopping, we will offer drop-off and pick-up services to the mall. Enjoy your free time in this remarkable city, soaking in the magic it has to offer!


DAY 7:  MONDAY, JULY 15 – ST. JOHN’S - LOCAL
After a delightful breakfast, get ready to embark on a journey through the rich history and scenic wonders of St. John's, Newfoundland's captivating capital city!

We're excited to welcome aboard our knowledgeable Step-On-Guide, a local expert who will accompany us on this incredible city tour. Prepare to be immersed in the fascinating stories and secrets as we visit iconic landmarks like Signal Hill, Cabot Tower, Quidi Vidi Fishing Village, Government House, and the remarkable Roman Catholic Basilica, among many other historic sites scattered throughout the city.

After a scrumptious lunch, we'll venture to Cape Spear National Park, where we will stand at the easternmost point of North America. The breathtaking coastal scenery will leave you in awe, and you'll have the chance to explore World War II gun emplacements and the oldest lighthouse in Newfoundland. A true treat for history enthusiasts and nature lovers alike!

But the adventure doesn't stop there! Next, we'll set off on a scenic drive to the charming fishing village of Petty Harbour, where you can soak in the tranquil ambiance and capture unforgettable memories.

As the day draws to a close, we'll gather for a delightful group meal at the hotel. What better way to savour the company of newfound friends while relishing the flavours of this beautiful destination?





DAY 8: TUESDAY, JULY 16 – ST. JOHN’S TO MARYSTOWN
Fuel up with a hearty hot breakfast because today, we're diving deep into the captivating world of geology and beyond!

Our first stop of the day is the renowned Johnson Geo Centre, a fascinating treasure trove of knowledge and discovery. Get ready to be awed by a diverse range of exhibit galleries that unravel the mysteries of our planet's geology, oil and gas exploration, natural resources, and even space exploration! As we explore the captivating displays and interactive exhibits, you'll gain new insights into the wonders of Earth and beyond. The Johnson Geo Centre promises an enlightening and engaging experience for curious minds of all ages!
After this enlightening visit, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch and then continue our journey to our welcoming host hotel in Marystown. Sit back, relax, and let the charm of Marystown embrace you as we settle in for a delightful night's rest.

DAY 9: WEDNESDAY, JULY 17 – MARYSTOWN TO SAINT-PIERRE ET MIQUELON (2 NIGHTS)
« Bonjour, mes amis! » Today, our adventure takes a captivating turn as we set sail to the enchanting islands of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon.

Our journey begins in Fortune, where we will board a ferry that will carry us to this hidden gem nestled in the vast Atlantic Ocean. As we sail through the legendary Grand Bank, famous for its historic schooners and rich fishing heritage, prepare to be transported to a world where French flair meets North American charm.

« Bienvenue à Saint-Pierre! » Upon our arrival, you will be greeted by a locally guided tour, immersing you in the island's captivating culture and picturesque landscapes. The fusion of French and Basque traditions infuses the island with a unique European essence, making it a truly delightful destination to explore.

We'll settle into our charming French village, where you will be captivated by the quaint boutiques, inviting cafés, and meandering streets that exude an authentic European ambiance. This afternoon, feel free to stroll through the heart of St. Pierre and savour the delightful flavours of the island at one of its finest restaurants, indulging in true French cuisine.

Tonight, you will rest your head in the comforts of our hotel, excitedly anticipating the adventures that await us on this captivating French escape!

DAY 10: THURSDAY, JULY 18 – SAINT PIERRE ET MIQUELON - LOCAL
Today's adventure takes us to the captivating island of Miquelon, a nature lover's paradise nestled in the Saint Pierre archipelago! After enjoying a delightful breakfast on your own, we'll embark on an enchanting journey to Miquelon. Prepare to be amazed by the untouched beauty and natural wonders that await us on this pristine island.

Our first stop on this eco-adventure is the House of Nature and Environment, where you'll be enlightened about the archipelago's incredible biodiversity and the importance of preserving its natural treasures.

Next, we will join our knowledgeable local guide for an immersive tour of Miquelon and Langlade, where the stunning landscape unfolds before your eyes. Keep your camera ready, as we may encounter graceful wild horses, playful seals, and a myriad of colourful birds that call this paradise home. Throughout the day, you'll have countless opportunities to capture breathtaking photos, each frame a testament to the untouched beauty of Miquelon's wilderness.

As the sun begins to set, we'll return to the comfort of our hotel in Saint-Pierre, reflecting on the awe-inspiring experiences and memories made during our expedition. Tonight, you are free to savour the delights of the village at your leisure.


DAY 11: FRIDAY, JULY 19 – SAINT PIERRE ET MIQUELON TO CLARENVILLE NL
Start your day with a leisurely breakfast on your own, savouring the delightful flavours of St. Pierre's cuisine. You'll have some free time to stroll along the picturesque streets of this charming French island village, savouring the unique blend of European culture and Basque heritage that fills the air.

At 1:00 pm, we'll bid a fond farewell to St. Pierre and hop aboard the ferry for our next destination. Get ready to relish the scenic journey as we cruise to our next Newfoundland gem.

As we arrive in Clarenville, prepare to be enchanted by the warm hospitality and natural wonders that await us. Our hotel for the night will provide the perfect retreat after a day filled with exploration and adventure.


DAY 12:  SATURDAY, JULY 20 – CLARENVILLE TO ARGENTIA FERRY
Fuel up with a delightful breakfast as we prepare for an exciting day ahead. Our first stop will be the majestic Castle Hill National Historic Site in Placentia. Explore the rich history and grandeur of this significant landmark, immersing yourself in the tales of the past.

Afterwards, we'll savour a delicious lunch to recharge our energy for the next part of our adventure. Then, get ready for a truly unique experience as we make our way to the Argentia, where we will embark on an overnight ferry ride to North Sydney NS. Once onboard, you will have cabin accommodations on the ferry, ensuring a comfortable and restful journey. Relax and unwind as we cruise through the serene waters, taking in the scenic beauty that surrounds us.

Our ferry departs at 5:00 pm, and the night will be filled with anticipation and excitement as we sail towards our next destination. Tomorrow morning, we will wake up to the picturesque shores of North Sydney. We are scheduled to arrive at 9:00 am.


DAY 13:  SUNDAY, JULY 21 – NORTH SYDNEY TO NS & NB
Breakfast on Ferry (on your own)
9:00 am – Disembarkation (or when an announcement is made)
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast onboard the ferry as we approach our final destination. At 9:00 am (or as announced), we will disembark in North Sydney. The time has come to bid adieu to this incredible journey, but the memories we have made together will forever be cherished.

As we make our way back to our respective destinations, we will take breaks along the route to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable journey home. This is where we say goodbye to our new-found friends, our amazing Tour Director, and our skilled Driver. We hope the bonds we have forged and the experiences we've shared will stay with you for a lifetime.
