Today get ready for a great journey! Our route will take us through the captivating landscapes of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, igniting the spirit of adventure within us all.
Enjoy well-deserved breaks and a stop for lunch along the way. Your Tour Director is your adventure curator, infusing the ride with games and entertainment that will make the day fly by!
As the sun sets on this great day, our final stop awaits – a warm and welcoming host hotel in Massachusetts. It's a place to unwind for the night and get ready for the adventures ahead!
DAY 2: SUNDAY, APRIL 7 – BOSTON AREA TO NYC TO MANHATTAN CRUISE TERMINAL – EMBARK ON THE NORWEGIAN GETAWAY CRUISE SHIP
After a nice hot complimentary breakfast, we will leave the hotel and drive to the port. After we check in at the terminal, we will embark on the cruise and enjoy ourselves for the next 12 days! Upon arrival on the ship, you will be able to go eat, drink and visit the ship. They will make an announcement when your room will be ready. You will have to complete the Muster Drill before leaving port. Dream Vacation Tours will guide you through the process. You can also buy your duty-free purchases on the ship if you like, but we will stop at the Duty-Free Store on the way home. They have great deals every day on the ship!

The beautifully restored Royal Navy Dockyards provide a quaint boutique, a crafts market, and a fascinating maritime museum. Don't miss the chance to try out one of the many water sports offered in and around this gorgeous harbour. The region offers a challenging hike that extends 1,780 feet up Sage Mountain. A great spot for great birdwatching and breathtaking views of Tortola and neighbouring islands. But the second oldest city in the Americas also boasts fine beaches, lush rainforests, verdant mountainsides, imposing forts and a lovely tropical climate. DAY 11: TUESDAY, APRIL 16 – PUERTO PLATA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
Puerto Plata (or officially known as San Felipe de Puerto Plata) is the ninth-largest city in the Dominican Republic and the capital of the province of Puerto Plata. For spectacular city views, take a ride up the Pico Isabel de Torres Mountain which stands over 2,600 feet high. History buff? Visit Fortaleza San Felipe, which was built in the 16th Century and served as a prison under the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo. Or head to the Amber Museum, a museum filled with a unique collection of valuable Dominican amber which is semiprecious tree sap that has hardened for millions of years capturing many fossils of plant and insect life. Tomorrow we will self-disembark with our own luggage so we can leave earlier.
DAY 14: THURSDAY, APRIL 19 – NEW YORK CITY TO PORTLAND ME
We will be arriving at the port at approx. 7:00 am (or earlier). This morning, you will have time to have your last breakfast at the buffet restaurant. If you choose to do the Continental Breakfast, simply complete the card that is in your cabin with your selections and place the card on the outside of your cabin door the night before.
Once we disembark the ship at approximately 9:00 am, we will make our way back to the motor coach area for the return trip home. Staff from Dream Vacation Tours will be there to ensure you get on the proper motor coach ????
We will then begin our journey to Portland, Maine with breaks and lunch along the way. Tonight, you will have time to do some shopping or simply relax at the hotel.
