DAY 1: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18 – PEI & NB TO SALEM
Our "
Halloween in Salem" journey begins! After travelling through
Prince Edward Island,
New Brunswick, and
Maine, we'll arrive at our eerie escape. Rest well tonight, as the next three days will be filled with supernatural excitement!
DAY 2: MONDAY, OCTOBER 19 – LOCAL TOURING – SALEM
After a spine-chilling night's rest and a complimentary breakfast conjured by our host hotel, we will embark on a spine-tingling adventure into Salem. Our morning begins with a ride on the Red Trolleys,
Salem’s Original Trolley Tour —a thrilling way to experience the Witch City’s rich and colorful past! This narrated one-hour tour will take you through the historic streets of Salem, where you'll uncover the chilling tales of the witchcraft trials of 1692 and delve into Salem’s intriguing literary and maritime history.
Next, we'll make our way to the
Salem Witch Museum —a powerful and immersive look into one of the most infamous chapters in American history — the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. Through dramatic stage sets, life-size figures, lighting, and narration, you’ll be transported back to the heart of this haunting period, gaining insight into the events, emotions, and societal fears that fueled the hysteria. Following the main presentation, explore a second exhibit that connects the Salem trials to modern-day witch hunts and the continuing impact of fear and prejudice.
For lunch, you'll have the freedom to haunt one of the many delectable local restaurants (
on your own). After a fill of food, met your Tour Director at the
Peabody Essex Museum, where we'll visit Salem's eminent haven for art and history devotees. Take your time wandering through the Peabody Essex Museum and discover all the curious and wonderful things it has to offer at your own pace.
For supper, you have the choice of savouring the flavours of local restaurants or returning to the hotel (
restaurants nearby or order in). We'll provide shuttles to ensure you make the most of your bewitching evening in Salem
DAY 3: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20 – LOCAL VISIT – SALEM
Emerge from a night's slumber and savour a complimentary breakfast at the hotel. Our first destination of the day beckons—the
Ye Olde Pepper Candy Companie, America’s oldest candy company! Here, you can indulge in a mouthwatering selection of handmade chocolates, creamy fudge, and an array of nostalgic candies that will take you back to your childhood.
After our visit to the Ye Olde Pepper Candy Companie, we’ll make our way to the
House of Seven Gables, where you’ll step into one of Salem’s most iconic historic landmarks and the inspiration behind Nathaniel Hawthorne’s famous novel. Built in 1668, this beautifully preserved mansion offers guided tours through its secret staircases, period furnishings, and waterfront gardens, immersing you in more than 350 years of New England history. As you explore, you’ll uncover stories of the Turner and Ingersoll families, learn about Hawthorne’s literary legacy, and experience the charm and mystery that make this house a true Salem treasure.
Afterward, you’ll have time to enjoy lunch at one of the many local restaurants nearby (
on your own) — a perfect chance to sample some of Salem’s local flavors and cozy eateries.
Following lunch, we’ll meet up at the
Salem Wax Museum where you'll be set free to unleash your inner witch with your
Wicked Pass. This enchanting pass grants you access to the
Salem Wax Museum,
Frankenstein's Castle, and the
Haunted Witch Village, all conveniently located next to each other.
After exploring these haunted highlights, we’ll continue our adventure with a visit to the
Real Pirates Salem Museum, where authentic artifacts from the Whydah shipwreck — the only verified pirate treasure ever discovered — tell the captivating true story of life on the high seas.
For supper, you have the choice of savouring the flavours of local restaurants or returning to the hotel (
restaurants nearby or order in). We'll provide shuttles to ensure you make the most of your bewitching evening in Salem
DAY 4: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21 – LOCAL VISIT – SALEM
After a spooktacular night’s rest and a complimentary breakfast brewed up by our host hotel, we will make our way to the
Witch Dungeon Museum, where you’ll step back to 1692 and experience the gripping drama of the Salem Witch Trials. Through a powerful live reenactment based on actual trial transcripts and a guided tour of a recreated dungeon, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the fear and hysteria that gripped colonial Salem.
Next, we’ll venture to
Gallows Hill. We’ll begin with the
Gallows Hill Main Show, a thrilling multimedia performance combining live actors, special effects, and storytelling that brings Salem’s dark history and supernatural legends vividly to life. Then, the experience continues with
Guilty! A Salem Witch Trial, where you become part of the action — the audience serves as the jury in this interactive show that puts you right in the middle of the 1692 trials. Expect suspense, drama, and a few spine-tingling moments as Salem’s witch trial history unfolds before your eyes.
The rest of the day is yours to explore the haunted heart of downtown Salem at your own pace. For those in need of a little retail therapy, we’ll be offering a drop-off at the
North Shore Mall for the afternoon — the perfect spot to shop, grab a bite, or simply unwind. If you’d rather relax and recharge, we’ll also provide a drop-off at the hotel, where you can enjoy some well-deserved downtime before the evening’s festivities. But don’t worry — we’ll be returning to Salem tonight for our final hurrah, wrapping up our adventure with one last magical evening in this legendary city!
For supper savour the flavours of one of the many local restaurants (before the Ghost Walking Tour).
This evening, for those of you who dare to join us, we will be going on a spine-tingling
Salem Ghost Walking Tour (
90 minutes), a haunting evening walk through Salem’s most haunted and historic streets, where your guide reveals chilling tales of the 1692 witchcraft hysteria, ghostly legends, and the eerie spirits said to roam the city at night. The bus will return to the hotel after our Ghost Walking Tour.
