Welcome aboard! Today kicks off our exciting journey to Ottawa & Quebec City! We’ll be traveling through Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Quebec, making several stops for breaks and lunch along the way. Tonight, we’ll rest in Quebec, and tomorrow we’ll continue our journey, arriving in beautiful Ottawa!

DAY 2: FRIDAY, MAY 7 – QUEBEC TO OTTAWA
After enjoying a complimentary hot breakfast, we’ll head off to Ottawa. Once we arrive, we’ll enjoy lunch before embarking on a Guided Tour of Ottawa with a local step-on guide. We’ll dive deep into the heart of Canada’s capital, getting the inside scoop on the city’s history, landmarks, and hidden gems!

After our tour, we’ll check into the luxurious Fairmont Château Laurier, a stunning hotel just steps away from Ottawa’s best attractions, including Parliament Hill, Rideau Canal, and an array of fabulous shops and eateries. You’ll have the evening free to explore the city or join in the vibrant opening night festivities of the Ottawa Tulip Festival. The festival is a spectacular celebration of spring, with thousands of tulips in full bloom, stunning displays, and cultural events. Trust us, you won’t want to miss it! Whether you’re wandering the lively streets or soaking in the festival atmosphere, Ottawa is the perfect place to kick off your spring getaway!

DAY 3: SATURDAY, MAY 8 – OTTAWA
BREAKFAST ON YOUR OWN
Today is all yours to explore Ottawa and dive into the festivities of the famous Tulip Festival! There’s so much to see and do, from stunning flower displays to lively cultural performances. Plus, don’t miss out on the Tulip Festival’s hop-on, hop-off shuttle – it’s your all-access pass to festival activities (included)! You can easily hop between the best tulip gardens, music events, food trucks, and art installations, making it the ultimate way to experience the festival at your own pace.

Staying at the luxurious Château Laurier means you’re right in the heart of the action. Step outside and you’re surrounded by some of Ottawa’s top attractions, like Parliament Hill, where you can watch the Changing of the Guard or explore the beautiful grounds. Just a short walk away, you’ll find the vibrant ByWard Market, filled with local artisans, quirky shops, and incredible food options. Whether you’re grabbing a bite to eat at a nearby café, taking a stroll along the scenic Rideau Canal, or soaking in the festival vibes, you’re guaranteed a fun-filled day in this lively city!

DAY 4: SUNDAY, MAY 9 – OTTAWA
BREAKFAST ON YOUR OWN
Today is a free day to truly soak in all that Ottawa has to offer during the spectacular Tulip Festival! With so many exciting activities, you’ll want to take full advantage of the festival’s hop-on, hop-off shuttle. This convenient shuttle gives you unlimited access to the best festival spots, allowing you to explore the vibrant tulip gardens, local food vendors, and entertainment at your own pace. Whether you’re enjoying a live performance or admiring the breathtaking floral displays, the shuttle makes it easy to experience everything the festival has to offer.

The Château Laurier’s central location puts you right next to an endless array of things to do! Step outside the hotel and you’re just a stone’s throw from beautiful landmarks like the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage site, or the stunning National Gallery of Canada. If you’re in the mood for shopping or dining, the ByWard Market is just around the corner, where you’ll find local markets, artisan boutiques, and a fantastic selection of restaurants. From enjoying the Tulip Festival’s festivities to exploring the city’s unique neighborhoods, there’s something for everyone in Ottawa today!

DAY 5: MONDAY, MAY 10 – OTTAWA TO QUEBEC CITY
BREAKFAST ON YOUR OWN
Today, we bid farewell to Canada’s vibrant capital and head towards the charming Quebec City. Along the way, we’ll make stops for breaks and lunch, with your Tour Director keeping things fun with games and movies to help the time fly by.

In the evening, treat yourself to dinner at one of the many charming restaurants in Old Quebec, and then enjoy the rest of your night at your leisure. Wander through the unique shops, marvel at the stunning architecture, or unwind and relax at hotel—the choice is yours to make!

DAY 6: TUESDAY, MAY 11 – QUEBEC CITY
BREAKFAST ON YOUR OWN
This morning we will be joined be a knowledgeable local guide for a Guided Tour of Quebec City, giving you an insider’s perspective on the region’s most stunning and historically rich locations. Our tour includes a visit to Ste. Anne de Beaupré, where the beautiful basilica stands as a major pilgrimage site and a testament to the area’s deep cultural and spiritual heritage. You’ll also experience the awe-inspiring Montmorency Falls, an impressive 83-meter waterfall that is actually taller than Niagara Falls, creating a powerful and breathtaking sight. As well as a visit to Orleans Island, known for its scenic charm, quaint villages, and breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River.

This evening, you’ll have the option to unwind at Strøm Spa Nordique in Old Québec from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm (additional cost – limited availability). We will provide transportation to and from the spa for your convenience. Set along the waterfront near Old Québec, Strøm Spa offers a peaceful Nordic wellness experience inspired by Scandinavian traditions, featuring thermal and Nordic baths, dry sauna, steam bath, flotation bath, cozy fireplace lounges, and multiple relaxation areas. Lockers and bathrobes are included for your comfort, and an on-site restaurant is available for those who wish to enjoy a meal or beverage during their visit. After your relaxing spa experience, we’ll return to the hotel for a restful night.

If the spa isn't your preference, feel free to explore Old Quebec this evening on your own! Consider a ghost walking tour—a nightly storytelling experience delving into the darker side of Québec history. Or you might opt for a scenic cruise along the St. Lawrence River with one of the local boat tours. Tonight marks your final evening in Quebec City, so make the most of it! Drop-off and pick-up to Old Quebec included, however, if you are doing the ghost walking tour (on your own) or boat tour (on your own), you must make your way back to the hotel on your own.

DAY 7: WEDNESDAY, MAY 12 – QUEBEC CITY TO NB & NS
After breakfast, we begin the final leg of our journey home to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. With scheduled breaks and stops for lunch and dinner along the way, we’ll make our way back home.
As we arrive, it’s time to say farewell to your Tour Director and Driver, but we hope you’ll carry with you the cherished memories of our Ottawa Tulip Festival & Quebec City Luxury Dream Tour. We can’t wait to welcome you back on another adventure soon! ????

*Dream Vacation Tours reserves the right to change the departure location to Moncton, NB should there be 16 passengers or less at any Nova Scotia pick-ups. In such an event, Dream Vacation Tours will cover one (1) night’s accommodation in Moncton, NB, pre-tour, for each room booked.

This is not something that occurs often, and we will provide a 14 days’ notice in advance if it does. Clients are responsible for arranging transportation to Moncton, NB to board the tour.

Should the tour depart from Moncton, NB, guests originally scheduled to be picked-up in Aulac, NB, will be required to arrange transportation to Moncton, NB on the morning of departure to join the tour. No pre-tour hotel room will be booked for departures from Aulac, NB if the tour departure is changed to Moncton, NB.
