Today we'll travel to Charlottetown, where we'll be welcomed by a knowledgeable local guide for a memorable four-hour sightseeing tour showcasing some of Prince Edward Island's most iconic attractions.

Journey through the picturesque landscapes that inspired L.M. Montgomery's beloved classic, Anne of Green Gables. Along the way, you'll enjoy rolling farmland, sandy beaches, dramatic red sandstone cliffs, and the stunning scenery of Prince Edward Island National Park.

A highlight of the day is a guided visit to the famous Green Gables Heritage Place, where you'll step into the world that inspired Anne of Green Gables. We'll also visit a traditional fishing harbour, pass by local oyster and mussel farms, and stop at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company, where you can browse a wonderful selection of artisan preserves, fine teas, unique gifts, and local specialties.

Following our tour, we'll return to Charlottetown to check in to our hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax or explore the charming downtown area at your own pace.

DAY 2: THURSDAY, JUNE 3 – CHARLOTTETOWN PE TO MAGDALEN ISLANDS
Today we journey to Souris PE, where we’ll board the ferry to the Magdalen Islands. Departure is scheduled for 1:00 pm, so settle in and enjoy a relaxing 5 (five) hour cruise across the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The crossing offers plenty of time to soak in the sea views before arriving in the islands’ capital, Cap-aux-Meules, which will be our home base for the next three nights.

We’ll be staying at the charming Château Madelinot, with it’s close proximity to the island’s breathtaking landscapes it’s the perfect base for exploring the Magdalen Islands over the next few days. After check-in, take some time to unwind, explore the area at your own pace, and enjoy the unique maritime atmosphere that makes these islands so special.

Rest up tonight — the next two days will be fun-filled adventures, as we dive into the natural beauty, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality of the Magdalen Islands.

DAY 3: FRIDAY, JUNE 4 – MAGDALEN ISLANDS
After enjoying a continental breakfast at the hotel, we’ll set out for a full day guided tour exploring Magdalen Islands. Our morning begins with a visit to a local church and gift shop, where you can take in the history and architecture while browsing for keepsakes.

We’ll enjoy a group lunch (included) featuring local flavors — a chance to relax and enjoy a true taste of the islands.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Seal Interpretation Centre, where interactive exhibits bring to life the history and importance of seals to the Magdalen Islands. Next, we’ll stop at Fromagerie Pied-de-Vent, a beloved artisan cheese factory where you’ll see (and taste!) the unique cheeses crafted from local milk.

Our day continues with a visit to Le Barbocheux, a family-run establishment famous for its homemade wines and liqueurs made from local berries. We’ll also stop at L’Anse-aux-Baleiniers, a charming area known for its striking coastal scenery and maritime heritage.

This day blends culture, local traditions, and culinary delights — giving you another rich perspective on the beauty and life of the Magdalen Islands.

DAY 4: SATURDAY, JUNE 5 – MAGDALEN ISLANDS
After a continental breakfast at the hotel, we’ll depart for a full day guided tour to discover the Magdalen Islands.

Our morning begins with a visit to a fishing museum, where you’ll learn about the deep connection between the Madelinots and the sea, exploring the traditions, tools, and stories that shaped island life for generations.

Following lunch (on your own), we’ll continue to Le Site d’Autrefois, a fascinating open-air heritage site that transports you back to a time when the islands revolved around farming and fishing. You’ll step into traditional homes, see farm animals, and take in sweeping views from the observation tower — a true window into island life of “days gone by.”

In the afternoon, we’ll make a few scenic stops to admire local art and island landscapes, perfect for photos and a taste of the creative spirit that thrives here and enjoy a spectacular boat tour with At-Sea Excursions. Cruise along the islands’ dramatic red sandstone cliffs and explore sea caves carved by the waves — a breathtaking perspective of the Magdalen Islands that you won’t soon forget.

Tonight, we'll come together for an group dinner (included) featuring local favourites and flavours. After dinner, enjoy your final evening at the Château Madelinot. Tomorrow morning, we'll say goodbye to the beautiful Magdalen Islands as we board the ferry and begin our journey back to the Maritimes.

DAY 5: SUNDAY, JUNE 6 – MAGDALEN ISLANDS TO NB
BREAKFAST ON YOUR OWN (ON THE FERRY)
This morning, we’ll make our way back to the ferry for a 7:00 am departure. The crossing is a relaxing 5 (five) hour ferry ride back to Souris PE, where you’ll have the chance to enjoy breakfast onboard (on your own).

From there, we’ll continue our journey home to New Brunswick carrying with us wonderful memories of the Magdalen Islands.
